Directions to the Gunn Memorial Library & Museum

• From Hartford or Waterbury and points east:
  I-84 West to Exit 17, Rt. 64 in Middlebury. Follow Rt. 64 all the way west to the traffic light at Rt. 6 in Woodbury. Turn right onto Rt. 6 and follow about 1½ miles to traffic light at junction of Rt. 47. Turn left onto Rt. 47 and follow north for 8 miles, past the junction of Rt. 199 on the left. At the top of the hill (which is also Washington Green), turn right onto Wykeham Road (across from the Congregational church). The Gunn Memorial Library and Museum are on the immediate right.

• From Danbury and points southwest:
  I-84 East to Exit 15 in Southbury. Turn left onto Rt. 6 east (which is really north) to Woodbury. Follow Rt. 6 for a little over 5 miles to traffic light at the junction of Rt. 47. Turn left onto Rt. 47 and follow north for 8 miles, past the junction of Rt. 199 on the left. At the top of the hill, which is also Washington Green, turn right onto Wykeham Road (across from the Congregational church). The Gunn Memorial Library and Museum are on the immediate right.

• From New Milford and points west:
  Take Rt. 202 north/east to New Preston traffic light just past Rt. 45. Turn right at the light up onto Baldwin Hill Road, and follow that all the way down into Washington Depot. Continue straight up Green Hill (now Rt. 47) to the top of Washington Green and just past and opposite the Congregational church, turn left onto Wykeham Road -- the Gunn Memorial Library and Museum are on the immediate right.

• From Litchfield and points northeast:
  Take Rt. 202 south/west to the junction of Rt. 47 and turn left. Follow Rt. 47 into Washington Depot, turning left at the Stop sign. Continue straight up Green Hill (still on Rt. 47) to the top of Washington Green, and just past and opposite the Congregational church, turn left onto Wykeham Road -- the Gunn Memorial Library and Museum are on the immediate right.

• From Kent and points northwest:
  Follow Rt. 341 or Rt. 45 until they join in Warren. Bear right onto Rt. 45 south and follow around Lake Waramaug into New Preston village. Just before leaving village, turn left in front of Trumpeter Antiques. Go straight through traffic light, up Baldwin Hill Road, and follow that all the way into Washington Depot. Continue straight up Green Hill (now Rt. 47) to the top of Washington Green and just past and opposite the Congregational church, turn left onto Wykeham Road -- the Gunn Memorial Library and Museum are on the immediate right.
