The 20th Anniversary of Tea for Two Hundred: Saturday, August 12, 2017

Tea for Two Hundred garden party gala benefit is held on a Saturday in August from 4:00 to 7:00 pm in the beautiful gardens of the Washington Depot home of Mr. Gael Hammer and Mr.Gary Goodwin. The tea, attracting people from all over New England, is widely considered Litchfield County’s social event of the summer season. Guests dance in the garden to the music of the legendary “Beehive Queen” Christine Ohlman, shop the fabled and eclectic Silent Auction, and enter the dazzling Hat contest. The dress code is traditional white. The proceeds of the Tea for Two Hundred benefit two local nonprofit organizations; The Gunn Historical Museum of Washington, well known throughout the State of Connecticut for its excellent award winning exhibitions, and the Interfaith AIDS Ministry of Greater Danbury (IAM) a nonprofit agency offering unconditional critical support services to families facing the nutritional and physical challenges of living with HIV/AIDS.
