Easter Egg Dyeing
Bring your own white hard boiled eggs and we will supply the rest! Use dye, glitter, stickers, and more to make your Easter eggs special and unique. Dress for a mess!
A Wonder-ful Family Event
Join us for a page-to-screen viewing and book talk of R.J. Palacio’s Wonder. Books will be available at the circulation desk for the month of March for families to read together. Then on Saturday, April 7th we will watch the film adaptation and have a compare/contrast conversation and fun activity following the movie. Pizza and popcorn provided! Registration is encouraged. Parent and Child Sewing
Children have the opportunity to learn the basics of threading a needle, knotting the thread and cutting and joining fabric. There will be several choices of beginner sewing lessons to try: sewing cards, fabric book marks, a headband, pin cushion and tooth pouch. All supplies provided. Best for ages 5 and up.
Earth Day Recycling Crafts
Children are invited to celebrate Earth Day with us as we make recycled crafts! We will creatively re-purpose common household items to show kids just how fun recycling can be. All materials will be provided.
Puppet Making Workshop
Youngsters can make a simple puppet out of a sock, paper or fabric to take home and create puppet character, voice, and mannerisms. Impromptu puppet shows will be encouraged using the newly made puppets or the Junior Library’s selection of hand puppets.
